It was St Therese of Lisieux's feast day on Monday: this shot was taken outside the Sacred Heart House, near Lavender Hill, late on Sunday eve, where her Missionaries are based. No prizes for guessing whose statue this is - the cross of the window should be a clue...
No prizes either for guessing that this fine example of a big toe belongs to Tusker Verey, back from the Western Front and now searching for studio space and a moth free bedroom. Typical Aviary: most people get insects now and again - she no sooner gets a moth problem than they're on the dog and bone from the Daily Telegraph. (The journalists that is, not the moths.)

See! This sort of transformation is really not natural... your Honour, I rest my case for the silver bullet...
Here's the full candlelit scene of the Harpertage last night, before we all flaked out embarrassingly early and the girls went off to their dorm while us chaps bedded down for the night.
Peaceful Ashley Crescent, seen here from the Haha near Aaron's outpost. Oh silly me: I don't have a Haha, just a Folly.
What a lovely breakfast we had! Thanks for the lovely surprise Charlesters - gosh: still feel quite full here now in Starbucks in Green Park at 2pm. Delish Lincolnshire Sausages and scrumster bacon and shrooms. Magic!

Note: Telly in its normal "NOT plugged in" mode. Really Miss Aviary - what were you thinking of??? Actually turning it on???? TSSSK!
It's the anti-telly fascist Dad in me - couldn't believe Aviary suggested watching a film. Guess I might think differently if I'm ever a parent. Now the radio, that's a different matter entirely...
Seeing Bernster in this very cafe in a few hours time, with enough moments spare to type up this blog and maybe write a letter to be sent to the back of the North Wind...
